Help Saving Heather

So after learning that in the official patches Heather Poe (the ghoul) died in the main storyline, I downloaded the plus patch and started a whole new game to save her. Anyway, I'm up to the bit where there is rubble outside of Ventrue tower, and I realized the I might not have entered the correct dialogue options all the way back when she said a stranger followed her. I'm pretty sure that I said "if someone comes up to you, shoot them in the head" instead of "promise me you won't go outside."
Can someone please confirm whether or not she will die if I continue the main quest? Because If she does, I really need to know some way to change the game codes so that the previous dialogue option will be selected. Either that, or some way to use console commands to finish all the quests; I've restarted the game once and I wouldn't be able to stand doing them all again a third time.

just wondering, when you use the companion mod to bring heather along with you, does that mean you can keep her from dieing? cause she is with you on the adventure, meaning she wont get kidnapped, anyone done a playthrough using the companion mod and keeping heather alive?

I've actually never given that a thought, an interesting idea I'll think it would be possible to tell her to return to the haven after the plot point is over. But I too would like someone who have tried it out to confirm if that'll work.

I got a bug or something: when i met her second time in Downtown before going to Lacroix, I told her to go to my haven, but later I couldn't find her anywhere. Is it possible to return her, or is it an unsolvable bug? I'm using Unofficial patch.

am i getting this right that the only option to save her whatsoever is telling her to stay inside when she tells you she's been followed? that's it, the sole way to do it? im in the hollowbrook right now, just saw a cutscene of her being murdered and im guessing im continuing the game without my sex toy? when i was picking the dialogue options, i told her to shoot anybody who approaches her because i viewed her ramblings as overly paranoic and paid no attention to it. so basically telling her to shoot anybody equals death for heather no matter what, and the only possible way to save her is to tell her to stay inside, nothing else? i dont know which patch im running by the way i just installed the thing from steam and also the eyes mod

Yes. And that option wasn't even in the original game! Heather would die no matter what you did...

this is an extremely irrational and repelling decision by the developers. killing off a character you've been building up an immense bond with like some kind of an irrelevant tertiary dull mundy who has no role in the game? outrageous
