Problem in tutorial
I'm stuck after the part where you hack the computer and go outside then get attacked and damaged. From what I've read online Jack is supposed to tell you that you're damaged and to feed on the guy down the stairs but when I talk to him the screen about combat/masquerade show up. I've done this twice with different characters and both times I got stuck here.

Not sure about the first save, but in my second character I was able to get outside without hacking the computer and opening the safe.

I have the Unofficial Patch 8.8 installed.

Did you use a saved game from before patching? This is not good...

similar problem, could get trough the maglock without the keycard and can't proceed after killing the guy in melee and jack telling me to go trough the building. a friend said that i should have a tutorial on the abilities as well at this point, tough he is not sure

I haven't heard of this happening before, sounds like a serious issue.
As a last resort, you can skip the tutorial if you really need to.
Of course going through the tutorial (provided it works correctly) is recommended, but if it's not possible, then at least know skipping it is an option.

I have the same issue as described by the OP (new Tremere character). Does anyone know any console commands or workarounds to get the 2 exp and items from the tutorial after skipping it? Better yet, a way of making the tutorial work?

You can use the following command in the console to give yourself everything the Tutorial gives you. You can paste it in as all one line, or you can break it apart at the semicolons. Note that "giftxp" writes to your current XP value, and this command assumes you currently have 0 XP. If you have e.g. 5 XP right now, you will want to use "giftxp 7".

give item_g_lockpick; give item_w_tire_iron; give item_w_thirtyeight; give item_w_baseball_bat; giftxp 2
