Venus issue

So my question is how to unbug the NPC Venus. After doing her sidequest I've noted she has bugged and cannot be talked to how do I fix this?

Can you be more specific? What happens when you try to talk to her?

I simply can't the icon to talk to her is not there, I went killed the Russian boss and returned finding myself unable to talk to her.

What patch are you using and which boss do you mean? The one in the hotel or on the parking lot?

Well honestly it has happened with both. And I;m using the 8.8 patch

8.9 the basic (not the plus one). I've killed the russian mobster at the hotel and when I return I can get her to "let's talk in your office" but up there I get no talk icon from her. If I leave and return she is behind the bar again and this time I can't even talk to her.

I never heard that bug before. Did you continue an older saved game from before patching? What are the values of G.Venus_Quest and G.Venus_Office?

Clean install and then moded with 8.9. Added a new History and enabled histories in a .cfg-file, everything else is untouched. No bugs up till now.

How do I check those values? Can I see them in the console or by using some tool on the save-file?
I'm computer/programming literate so I don't need a step by step instruction but some help is needed since I've never modded...

While on the subject of using old saves, is it possible to reinstall and continue using your plus version with my current save game?

Adding the new history might have messes things up. Bloodlines is sometimes sensitive to WHERE something is added to important game files.

Just type them in the console. As for basic/plus, it should be possible to continue after installing plus on top of basic, but no guarantees ;)!

So I'm playing an unpatched version of the game. It let me get to her office with her and then wouldn't give me the option to talk to her. I fixed it by attacking her once. She just runs a little over and the dialogue option pops up. You may have to click it a couple imes until the game no longer thinks youre in combat and it lets you finish the quest. Hope that helps.

I noticed that I had no problems talking to Venus when she is at the bar.
So what you can do is enter the club, then in the Console type in "G.Venus_Office=1".
Venus remains at the bar but is flagged as being in the office. So no when I talk to her at the bar she gives the dialog options from the office and I could complete the Boris quest.
