"Skip Intro" option is not working

I'm using the 8.8 unofficial patch with the game, and it doesn't matter if I check the "Skip Intro" box on the character sheet screen, it will still load up the whole intro sequence... What could be the problem?

You still have to do the Tutorial it only skips the beginning video that shows you getting turned. But if you don't want to do the tutorial you can tell Jack that you don't need help.

No, not the tutorial. I meant the whole intro where the player character is turned. It doesn't matter if the skip intro is checked, it won't skip that whole intro sequence.

Weird it may just be a bug, I would try reinstalling the UP but if you do you will have to make a new character. Make sure you delete the updated files before reinstalling though to make sure non of it is left.

You might also want to turn off "Keep this game automatically updated" by right clicking on the game in your library to make sure Steam doesn't overwrite any files.

you have to have a save game before skip will work
