WESP UP 9.2 quest problem. The Confession and Patty.
In 9.2, Wesp added a turnstyle at the entrance of The Confession. Neat little thing for ambiance of a night club, but it breaks the Deal With Patty quest. Well, not really break the quest so it's uncompletable, but it is immersion breaking. You can finish it if you can kill her or feed on her to death without violating the masquerade, but that's not what I wanted to do. If you don't have the speech skills to persuade her into leaving town you can tell her to go outside to meet her sire. Only problem is Patty can't navigate the turnstyle. She gets hung up in it 100% of the time making her egress from the club impossible, resulting in the need to kill her if you aren't a talky vampire.

He didn't add that. He added in the option to remove it. Go to the club owner after you do her quests and tell her to get rid of it. Exit club, reenter, it should be gone. I've never had her get stuck in it though.

How the *hell* is anyone supposed to know that coming in the first time? I didn't go into the Confession to do her quests, I went in to do the Patty quest. Since that damn turnstyle was there, Patty got stuck on it and I had to kill her to complete the quest.

And yes, he did add it.

The turnstyle was added in the plus version of the patch a while back (as a restoration). The option to remove it was also added a while back as well.

Hopefully that clarifies this a bit more.

Simple way to know you can have Venus remove it: Read the patch notes.

As I wrote elsewhere, Patty getting stuck is a random bug. Either reload and try again until she exits or get rid of the turnstile using the Venus dialogue. Also it was already added in version 8.6...

Wesp, I was using your 8.8 patch until just recently, and I *promise* you the turnstyle was not in The Confession on my last play through.

Keep up the good work by the way. Your patches seem to be the only thing keeping this neglected game on life support. Consider, if you will, not trying to implement a bunch of feature creep additions like the turnstyle though. Otherwise this might become just another mod like the ones you find on the TES Nexus :(

I highly doubt it'll ever become "just another mod" lol. I insist the turnstile was in patch 8.8 because I did my 3rd most recent playthrough on it!!

I started playing VtMB with patch 8.9, the turnstyle was there. It's not a 9.2 addition.

Has your patch somehow impacted the mesmerizing effect feeding on people has? I remember if I fed on someone, then let them go, they would stand around dazed for a good while. That doesn't happen anymore and it's pretty frustrating. While trying to do the Dane quest I would feed on a cop to try and get past him, but as soon as I let him go he turned around and shot me. Never mind the fact I just sucked 2/3 of his blood out!

No, I never changed anything there. I wouldn't even know how to do it...

It must be in the base game then. I guess some mobs are coded as guards that are feedable, but immune to the mesmerize effect. That's stupid. Could you include in your next patch a fix for that? Make everyone feedable and mezmerisable?

As I wrote, I have no idea where this is handled. It might be hard-coded...
