Is this game really good? (dumb question I know)

Seriously, I've been hearing about this game for past decade and never had a chance to play for some reason. Probably because I'm not into vampires, but I heard the RPG elements is really good and the gameplay is great. So am I missing out for not playing this game?

You're definiely missing out. I was the same as you until Halloween 2013 when I finally picked it up. Hearing about it from friends for years and years. You honestly don't need to be super into vampires for this game to be enjoyable. The only thing that's not super awesome is the melee combat, but you get used to it.

I played the game back when it came out and I am not really into vampires myself actually. And for me it's easily one of the best RPG's I have ever played. Also it has an insane replay value since your playthough will feel a lot different depending on the Race you chose to play as plus there are different ways of doing each quest. You don't have to be into Vampires to like this game. I'd say everyone who have never played this game is surely missing out on one of the best RPG's ever made.

Well, I played it in the past and it´s worth it. You can get a lot of playthtroughs out of it.

I´m a guy who buys every good rpg on steam anyway.

I rarely go through a game more then once I went and completed this game on 4 different races, just to give you an idea. Its not considered in the top 25 rpgs of all time for no reason, Its completely well deserved.
The best part however is there is UNOFFICIAL PATCHS that fix the game hahaha

It's one of the better action oriented RPGs out there. That said, due to the publisher rushing it there are a lot of parts where it's rough around the edges and/or tedious filler combat (specifically the warrens). About two thirds of the way through it gets a bit janky but overall you'll definitely enjoy it if you like games in the Deus Ex vein (although there's a lot more choice and consequence in Vampire).

Yes, the atmosphere and the number of options the game gives you (which = freedom to roleplay) makes it one of my favorite rpgs along with fallout 1/2... it's not like "modern rpgs" in that way. I'm a pretty picky rpg fan, though not as picky as say, codex people :P If you search about the tabletop game a bit you might be more interested, but I admit I'm biased cause I read the book and played it as a kid
Only thing I'd change is I wish character appearance was more customizable, and that they made a 2nd game

this game is a hidden gem, i played it many years ago back in the days when i was younger , just nailed one ending, still left me a great impression. i can still recollect the tension, fear and attraction. truly a unforgettable memory about an RPG.
Shame i lost my copy of the game long ago,——So i just purchased it!
