Anne Rice type, or Bela Lugosi Dracula, Gary Oldman in a top hat, those are described as "gothic"... Or do you mean vampires who wear makeup, only dress in black and listen to symphonic metal? ("goth "subculture)
I wouldn't call the teen vampire types popular today "goth" (Vampire Diaries, Twilight... though the Originals ones aren't too bad), sort of the opposite since goth style/subculture is derived from classic horror.
I rewatched the movie Blade I these days and it made me install this game again. If you ever watched it it's a little similar (though the OP super cool Wesley Snipes character is optional), the council of vampire leaders, vampires everywhere, having to blend in and hide, humans serving vampire lords, etc.
I always thought of Vampire the Masquerade as a bit modern punk-goth.
Lol I looked those words up and this wikipedia page uses them to describe the mood of setting of the game (World of Darkness): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothic-Punk
I think the male Brujah character it a tribute to Blade, also the vampire hunters with their katanas on the back and the overall vampire-burning-up animation!
vamp fan girls/boys are in their place in this one.
Pick it up and I'm sure you'll love it. Don't forget to grab the Unofficial Patch 9.2 as well.
Damn and I bought this game so I could knock up a high school chick. I wonder if I can get a refund.
Jeanette dresses up like a high school chick :)
