Can't choose background for my vamp

Just installed the game then added the unofficial patch to it. However I remember being able to choose a background for whichever clan I choose but the option is no longer showing. Did I not install the patch correctly or is this an error?

Sounds like it is either not installed correctly, or not run correctly. The recent patches require you to add "-game Unofficial_Patch" to the launch options/command line to run the patch.

I have already done that. My game didn't work before I installed the patch. And in game it says the patch is installed. Everything else works great apart fromt hat.

Sounds like it is installed then - did you install the plus or basic patch? If you did the latter, that could explain why backgrounds are not showing.

Just did a complete re-install and selected the plus option. Works now! Thanks dude!

You can uninstall the game from steam library but the patches stay in folder from your C drive. Best to delete ALL contents from folder and then reinstall game then latest patch to be certain.
