Tories with high perception should do well. Seems as though most people do not use auspex, but it can temporarily boost perception and wits I believe. (haven't played one yet)
It's subtle but headshots do have a purpose.
For Gehena's sake, keep the damn AUG. I made that mistake on my first run
- Early-game guns are pretty useless (38 Special, Glock, Ingram). Only pump-action shotgun can provide some decent firepower. Later in game you'll encounter more powerful firearms.
- Guns are weak against supernaturals (just like in the original pen-and-paper game) so you must use diciplines and melee weapons (blades preferably) when fighting vampires, ghouls, zombies and other creatures of the night, until you find really powerful guns like Anaconda, or unless you have steady hand and good aim (see below).
- Always aim for the head - it does roughly twice the damage and really helps when fighting supernaturals (see above).
- As mentioned earlier in this thread, everything is weak in this game if you don't invest points in it. If you want to play gunslinger, you must max out your perception and firearms skill as soon as possible. With perception 1 and firearms 2 even mighty AUG will be peashooter.
