> Random whispers during gameplay - some whispers are plus patch only
> Shaky cables in all hubs - plus patch only
> Cabbie rat in sewer - plus patch only
> Guns in dialogue are constantly referred to as "boom-sticks" (reference to Army of Darkness film where a character calls his shotgun "boomstick")
> Addressing Therease and Jeanette in Santa Monica as being daughters of Janus (Roman God which was depicted as two-faced (one face that looks into the future and one that looks into the past)
> TV talking to player in apartment and in one instance prompting actual dialogue from the player (there's a hilarious conversation that even involves a tuna and a chef)
> TV reports that change after the player has completed a mission are generally more funny or changed quite significantly (the reporter even states the police are questioning the involvement and/or existance of vampires)
> I have no idea where this happens but there is a fourth wall breaking dialogue option "tell this to whoever is playing me" (referring to the player actually playing VtM:B)
> Dialogue with STOP sign in Downtown
> Ability to say, after convincing the foot critic in Hollywood that he is eating maggots, that this "happened in a movie once" or something like that (reference to The Lost Boys film which had a maggot eating scene)
> Romero dialogue option (Hollywood) ""Why? Does it cause zombie status? Because I'm out of holy water." (reference to the Final Fantasy series in which your character can have a zombie status attributed to them and the cure is the holy water item)
> Meeting Skelter gives you the option to call him "Helter Skelter" and later in the conversation say the following line: tell me, tell me, come on, tell me the answer (a line from the "Helter Skelter" Beatles song).
> Interesting dialogue with the cab driver as well as some powerful insight towards the end-game
Plus patch only but there were some whispers during dialogues in the original.
Plus patch only in all levels except for some which showed strange behaviour.
Any malkavian stuff I've left out? I fixed the list too.
Do other clan characters get the option to call out Knox in that he is lying about the Kuei-Jin guy and Bertram told Knox to fool the player character into killing him? I think it might have been a Malkavian "insight" thing. It might have been one that required either high level of some stat OR being malkavian, but Im not sure right now. Been a while since I played.
Also, I believe Malk's get a special dialog option when they meet the Southland Slasher in the surfside diner for the first time, implying they know something about him. "A strange weight rests on your shoulders.." Yet another insight.
I believe there are numerous cases of such Malk 'insight' in dialog, precisely why I recommend against playing a Malk during peoples first playthrough. I might document more of them even if it means yet another playthrough.
I didn't plan to give them away :>)
I've now put "[Spoilers]" in the thread title. Didn't think of that before though, so thanks.
Truthfully: I already knew about most of those insights but I have only posted some of the noteworthy events in this game. Otherwise, this thread would be full of about 20 or so of these Malkavian predictions :)
