Jeanette/Therese effect on game
Okay, so I got the game in sale since I heard how good it was, and used unofficial patch to fix the issues. Gotta say the game really deserves all the hype. Anyway, in the scene where we see the truth about the sisters, no matter what I tried, I could not save them both. Turns out I should have paid more attention to these sisters. So Jeanette personality died and I'm left with Therese. I wondered what effects they have later on the game. Both Jeanette and Therese. Thanks in advance for any answer!

Once you complete their series of missions, they don't really serve any purpose in the game. You're basically finished with them before you even complete all the stuff in Santa Monica.

Nothing. You never have to go back to their club for the rest of the game if you don't want to. At that point, you are finished with their quests. You could load an autosave to try to save them both, but you might have to go pretty far back to make sure you haven't said anything mean or snarkey, at all, to either of them. You can also have sex with Jeanette, but, nothing is shown. The screen just fades to black. I don't remember if that happens before you save them or after. I stopped bothering to try to get into her skirt after the novelty wore off.

The first time I played the game I kept thinking that it would have some payoff down the road but I think at most there was maybe a comment or two made.

It would have been cool if they each could of used their influence to help you at some point, that way there would have been a reason to save both(beyond the fact that a malk with only one personality would be lonely). Or maybe there could have been a mission where each of them could of helped you making the mission a little easier or if you saved both make it a lot easier, this would have also demonstrated how much much stronger they were as a team like the game alludes to.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was quite surprised to see Jeanette die, to be honest. I was expecting a bit more on her part, or on Therese's part, to have more influence on the story, since Jeanette herself is on the cover of the game. I have just arrived in Hollywood and done a few quests. I loved the game, but I would love it even more if we could have more quests from Jeanette/Therese. Oh well, not everything we wish comes to pass, I guess. One more thing: I'm helping the Anarchs by staying close to the Camarilla. Would that change if Jeanette lived and Therese died? Or both lived? Just wondering.

Nope, they don't affect the story at all once you complete their series of missions. I think they put them in the game so early to kind of smack you in the face with their weirdness and make you realize how different VtMB is going to be compared to other RPGs. I kind of comapre Jeanette/Therese in memorability to M'aiq the Liar from the Elder Scrolls games. Everyone remembers him. Everyone loves him even though he doesn't really affect the game all that much.

I just stumbled across M'aiq for the first time in Morrowind last week, I had heard about him plenty but had somehow missed him in previous playthroughs. It was strange, I don't recall bethesda breaking the fourth wall like that before or since.
Other than being able to sleep with Jeanette anytime you want (and this is only possible if you save Jeanette alone)... nothing.

Technically you can't have sex with them as a male vampire or something along those lines... it's been a long time since I played and I think they refer to it in-game also.
If you pick jeannet you also lose 2xp from what I recall.

I think you can still call it sex despite this technicality. Another thread went into the lore and such but it's still possible for the vampires to simulate the conditions and experience of sex from my understanding.

As according to the lore, any vampire may copulate, eat, drink, do all manner of hedonistic acts. But they do not carry the same feeling they did in life, which is why it is rare to find any of them with a libedo after enough time has passed. Sex is more commonly for emotional reasons, rather than physical ones. This makes your relationship with the 'twins' somewhat more personal, and perhaps more disturbing considering what their father did to them.

Wierd I thought eating actually has a negative reaction similar to a ventrue drinking unclean/inferior blood.

As for the effect of your choice its pretty much just background stuff such as wether Santa Monica barony is offically Anarch or Camarilla, but Bertrum pretty much points out the leadership there doesn't mean much since there are only a couple other kindred in Santa Monica besides himself and the "sisters".

Kindred can eat/drink, but they can only hold it down with a force of will for a short time. Then it's to the bathroom to vomit it up because their undead bodies reject the food.

would've been nice if they impacted the game more, but it doesn't. like, at all. GG

The only impact saving both of has for you is more xp, especially if you take the money from the box. More xp is a good thing, especially early on.
