Cant open door in tutorial.

Hello I installed the game and the True Patch Gold Final hotfix 7 and after doing the Feeding tutorial the guy ask me to "go upstairs" and disappear. I cant open the door...

Not sure what to tell you. Idk why you're using True Patch Gold though when Unofficial Patch 9.2 just dropped earlier this week.

after you feed your ment too goto the door.. and talk too that guy again i forget his name.. then he opens the door for you but the convo shoudl start automaticlly and also did you drain the sucker dry or did you let him live i dont think it matters but it could do.. if not just restart and use the skip intro option so you dont have too watch that long ass introduction too bloodlines 20 more time

When you are centered on the door, you'll see a picture at the bottom center of the screen showing a door. Use the "e" key to open. If it doesn't show up, move around a bit left or right until it does.

I installed the True Patch Gold as well because I wanted to play vanilla and I read somewhere that the UP changed some things around even with the most basic installation option. Is there a significant difference in stability and fixes between them if you don't care about any of the mods or restored content etc?

UP Basic ONLY fixes bugs. It alters nothing gameplay-wise. UP Plus does indeed change some things. And there's a massive difference in stability. TPG hasn't been updated in ages, gets no support from its creator, and generally leaves a lot of bugs still present in the game. Wesp5, the UP creator, actively updates the patch and has for 10 years and he's also active here and on other forums trying to help people who have problems when using the game. TPG's creator doesn't do that and does not keep his stuff up to date.

Thanks, perhaps I'll move my current installation aside and try out the UP as well.

After pressing the UP key a little dialogue appeared telling me to press E. Could've been co-incidence too though after waiting 2 mins.

You need to save the game and load it again. The door can be opened only after a tutorial on how to interact and open doors pops up. If there was no window with explanationthen the door won't allow interaction.
