Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Unofficial Patch 9.3 released!
Get it from http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/4647/66381 (Germany), http://patches.planetvampire.com/VTMBup93.exe (Canada) or http://patches2.planetvampire.com/VTMBup93.exe (France).

This time the setup has been changed, so now the patch will install itself into a subfolder of the main game directory called Unofficial_Patch and you need to start the game either via the desktop icon or start menu entry or manually using the classic Source mod -game parameter. That way several mods can easily be installed parallel on one vanilla game version! Thanks for this go to Behar, who not only created the Game Mod Loader but included all previous dll fixes into it as well!

The patch also includes two new maps, the Malkavian Maze and the Warrens Shortcut. Special thanks go to Psycho-A for the continuous improvement of the Bloodline SDK which made creating maps possible in the first place. Thanks also go to EntenSchreck who supplied me raw drafts of both maps which I finished in Hammer, to Psycho-A and atrblizzard for optimizing them in several ways and the two older new maps too, and last not least to No_Mercy, who showed no mercy at all discussing each minor detail in all of the new levels that could be improved ;)! And as always to my beta-testers...

Sigh well this sucks, stuck redownloading patch since security programs can aparently overreact to this thing and it auto removed it from downloads list before I could tell it not to. Really wanted to tell security, well no duh its not commonly downloaded when its only been out for less than a day.

Bleh, figured out why it auto deleted, windows hid the option to run anyway under more info.

Anyway thanks for continuing to support this game, you'd really think ccp should be paying you for this.

It is always recommended to start a new game. Upgrading patches and then continuing an old save will mess your game up, possibly with game halting bugs, and then you have to start all over anyway.

Yes, but you need to start a new game as already mentioned here.

So, this is the procedure that I used to get antitribu mod to work with UP 9.3.

While this will seem to work at first, you will get Python errors sooner or later because some Python files need to be modified too. I already told Mv about it and the next ATM version will probably be released in that way though, as well as any other big mods from now on :)!

Alright, I see it now, under "for mod makers".........

-post removed-

I did not waste any game playthrough time, I was just testing Anti Mod. But I was trying to test the mod loader feature ( of which I was under the impression was ready for the average user to use) because I thought that there was going to be a new wave of help threads.

Hey wesp5 thanks for all your hard work towards this game, its literally insane.

I wanted to ask something, this will be the 57135th time I play the game but I never got too far but this time I plan to play it until the very end.

With that said, I want to install the patch that will give me the best base experience, what version should I grab if all I want is simply the base game with fixes? I would rather leave all the extras added to a future playthrough and make my first one only with the base stuff.

The loader shouldn't bother the normal user at all, but I hope that all big mods will use it in their next updates...

Then you should start with the UP 9.3 default basic mode and not select anything else on installation. You can then later install it with plus patch selected on top...
