In regards to anyone interested in this mod, I'll do the script and voice acting today, and look into what may need to be done to create the character itself (it won't be indepth; just along the lines of those girls you can flirt with and feed off in bars). If it's something I don't think I'll have time to do (or perhaps lack the understanding of doing; I've only made a few mods before, and nothing for a Source engine), I'll upload the voice files/script so others may take up the work if they so like.
I don't think this is true, she will only bring you this one guy...
I've had playthroughs where she brought him more than once, at least I think I have... I told her to clean up the mess & later she brought another guy. I dunno, it's been a while since my last playthrough.
I'll put links up when these are ready (due to scheduling issues, it'll have to be in a fortnight unfortunatelty; can't re-do the voice work til then).
Curious, Wesp - got any tips on programming a blood doll in the SDK, or perhaps any interest in doing this sort of thing yourself? I was thinking of just putting it in Santa Monica.
To create a blooddoll you would need VPKTools and a new dlg file. But I won't do it, as Troika only planned one for the Chinatown hub. For whatever reasons...
A wild guess: Troika is almost a men entirely developer company? :D
I recall reading somewhere they did have a few more things planned, but Activision asked them to nix some things early in development. It was the early 00's, so I can understand the idea that women don't play games and why some of the lines were written/coded the way they were.
Well, I respect you for only wanting to stick to Trioka's original vision, Wesp. You've done a fantastic job more or less making this game playable, and basically being single-handidly responsible for ithe game and it's community still being alive and kicking today. Cheers.
