Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Hot Stripper Assassin Action! Used console. How to reset?
Hi you bloodthirsty bunch!

So I was having trouble with this quest and found out that using the command "G.Sin_Sound = 0" helped to "fix" the quest.

VV was constantly saying I made too much noise, even if I was just feeding on her to k|ll her.

The thing is, I couldn't find that command on the command list on the console. Is "G.Sin_Sound = 1" how you revert it, or is there another way to set it to default?

Thank you so much for your time!

You should have saved the game before you did the mission. Messing with the console will potentially break further stuff. Especially if you already did the mission, then reverting back to "mission not yet done" probably isn't as straightforward.

Not sure how you would do that.

G.Sin_Sound = 0 is the correct command, but you might need G.Sin_Innocent = 0 too.

Yeah, I did save prior to doing that mission and after about 15+ times of trying different stuff, doing a bunch of suggested stuff, I quickly understood the AI for this quest was a bit finicky.

The only thing that worked (even loaded prior to entering the building and so on) was 1 of around 5 tries of using the console with that entry to complete the quest as intended.

I was really just wondering if switching that on the console would make the game break at any point, or if this was a reversable thing.

Thanks for pitching in btw

There is little info on what each of those commands do.
Any way of gettint a proper list of those commands so people less knowledgeable about it could thread it more carefully?

Thanks!

These are not normal console command like you know from FPS games. These are variables that are set for the RPG system of Bloodlines and are checked during the dialogues!

Oh, makes sense! Hence why I was having trouble finding anything on them, since these are specific for each situation/moment of the game. Alright!
Still, no negative effects so far from changing that.

Will update if something out of the ordinary happens! Really enjoying the game so far. :D

Yeah, that mission is weird.

From what i was able to gather, you need to:

- steal the money from the ATM, wait for the person to leave
- hack the computer and lockdown the views, wait for the person to leave
- hire Kerri in the lobby, wait for her to go to the other room then feed on her
- and as you fight Chastity, NOT use any disciplines, no matter how silent they are, and not use guns. So melee or unarmed only
- i didn't test wether it makes a difference asking Flynn about Chastity VS going directly downstairs

And even then, you might get VV telling you you made a mess.

Luckily, we have wesp5 to help! :)
Though, using console commands always runs a risk of breaking something, but, using the commands that set the mission state to basically "completed by silence" should be ok, as it only involves VVs response to you. So unless you're aiming for that signed photo and poetry emails, finishing the mission any way you want shouldn't be a problem, you'll still get VVs mission, the only thing different will be that she won't like you as much.

I'm glad you suggest a specific way to do the mission, 'cause seriously that is probably the only way to do it!
Maybe I should've just let VV bark at me, but... my roleplayer heart wouldn't live peacefully knowing that making a ruckus during that mission might trigger a horrible fate for her. 🤣

Thanks so much for the response by the way.

AND as a side note, I am now nearing the end of the game about to fight Ming Xiao's horrible face and no problems happens due to using the console solely for that. Just thought some people would like to know that!

EDIT: Never-mind. Just finished the game! Did a ton of side quests, took my time and no issues whatsoever! I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I did! :')

And thank you amazing Wesp5 for being the b3st! My experience playing vtmb wouldn't be the same without you. ♡

Cool!

I thought as much that it wouldn't interfere, it just affects VVs mission and she's not tied to anything important, you can actually skip her entirely i think, but good to know for anyone who has the bug. :)

I always more or less do the mission the way i described and didn't have issues, but i know it can bug out sometimes for whatever reason. :)

But it's cool, VVs happy, you finished the game, all is well! :)
