Werewolf in the park
Maybe it's just me but I found this part ridiculously difficult. Up to this point I've played the game"clean". No cheats or hints. After 4 hours of dying over & over & over &........ I finally gave in & read a walkthru for the battle then still kept dying until finally going in to god mode & it was STILL hard. Couldn't actually kill the stupid thing because he wouldn't go to the "kill spot"(don't want to ruin it for others so won't give details) and when I'd go to the tram the doors kept openning outwards & pushing me away the I'd get batted around for a bit!!!!!! Up to this point this game has been very fun & I am already anxious to play again as a different clan. Just wanted to b1tch about this & see if anyone else felt the same....

The issue here is that you are not supposed to kill the werewolf at all! Just hide or run away until the tram comes back. Killing him with the observatory doors is a bonus for later playthroughs, I didn't know I could do that when I first played the game as well...

There's a few spots good for hiding, though it's so much fun to trap him in the observatory.

I just ran around like my ass was on fire, that seemed to work.
They did an excellent job of representing a Garou/Kindred battle in this game. The best tactic for the Kindred is to simply run. As fast as possible. Celerity helps. But there is no fighting a werewolf one-on-one and winning (sorry Nines!) Garou simply crush all other WoD supernaturals in a fair fight.

I always assumed that Nines used a grenade and he still got his face ripped off...

Well it is possible to do some of the set up before hand if you stay away from the trigger with Nines.

I get that werewolves are supposed to be tough it just was almost TOO tough even trying too just hide....on my 2nd go round with the game & I am looking forward to a little payback!!!! Somehow.....Like I had said, excellent game except for this part....too bad it had to end.

I still think the flamethrower should have had some effect on it, even if it was just distracting it for a few seconds while it tried to put the flames in its fur out.

nah. its suposed to take like 7 or 10 vampires to kill 1 garou, and by that i mean the garou dead and at least 1 vampire surviving enough to tell the story. im happy the way they did it.

This is still one of the few truly scary moments I have had in the games Ive played. I have played the game through multiple times (only nossie and tremere missing), and knowing how to deal with this guy doesn't make him any less scarier. Masterfully done Troika.

Just finished my 2nd char's encounter with Wolfie & pretty much same result...Needed godmode to get past him again. !st time I was Gangrel but this time I tried Tremere. I gave it an honest try for about an hour then said ENOUGH!!!!! This is the only part I find overly frustrating. BTW, any good adventure mods out there? Something that takes awhile to play thru.....thanks in advance to anyone that replies.

Just recently finished my nosferatu playthrough, and Im sorry to say that the boss monsters with scripted movement tend to bug out quite often, leaving them stuck and appearing as if they are respawning in same spot constantly. Seems to be related with player being certain places, maybe the route algorithm is bugging out trying to calculate route to the player?

I had that happen with the werewolf and the sheriff in my latest playthrough. Although to be frank, the bugs have always been there. I remember having the sheriff's chiropteran marauder form do the repeated respawn bug in my very first playthrough in the original PC DVD version that had nothing but the 'official patch'.

Camarilla Edition/Clan Quest Mod for this game.

There's also Vampire The Masquerade: The Last Nights mod.

Companion mod too. All I can think of.

XD Say that to my "Alpha-jerk, leeroy killkins" Ganrel.

Used up about 5 Elder Vitae sacks, but I still beat the werewolf in a fistfight, keeping Warform and Fortitude up the whole time. He was not impressed that Nines was such a wuss that he got injured. :P

That said, I love this segment for how terrifying it is. Although it WAS frustrating as hell the first time. I ran to the tram as soon as the timer vanished.....and I needed to wait another 10 seconds. Unfortunately, I was in the tram house when I realized that, got cornered and murdered.

.......I just wish the main character was smart enough to run the second Nines mentions "fire". XD

HOLY CRAP Aegix, every time I've gone thru that I sit there telling my guy to shut up & do what Nines says.....
