Stuck on loading screen; "WARNING: msg overflowed for (character name)

I wast getting this issue after the Leopold Society Mission that i got stuck in loading and while checking console had that message spaming all the time and locked in loading , was able to get out of this lock by dropping a few items since i had so much on me by then (or store with companion if you been using the mod)


i was using clanmod mod pack with:

Arsenal , Companion lite mod , camarilla edition 1.4 , unofficial plus 7.9 and histories revised...

It could be because you've got the Companion, CE, and UP all installed at once. From what I understand Companion, CE, and TFN are not meant to be installed together. Also most of those have older versions of the UP built into them, so using them with another UP installed can also cause problems.

was just posting that i found a workaround with the issue and yes i read which ones were incompatible which ones not it was on the clanmod installation setup, also and wasnt using other unofficial patch but just the 7.9 (yes latest is like 9.0) but this was the one compatible with the Clan Mod Pack i was using...

I just wanted to say, Thank for this post. I just ran into this, and I am only using the vtmb antitribu mod(Great mod by the way, I finally get to play as the samedi, and get Necromancy!) I am not doing anything it did not ask me to do for installing, or playing. I am sure I am not the only one who ran into this, but this is the first fix I saw that worked, and it worked great, hell, I dident even need to do the console comand, just ran to the boat with johansen.

One point though, I caused the game to crash afterwards by trying to reget my items back from my companion. So do not overload them with items, else it will crash while giving them items, or retaking the items back.

So yeah, in short its how much YOU are holding that matters, and as a Samedi, I have little use for items outside of my polearm, so I was overflowing with weapons, and relics, which caused the game to, not crash, but keep trying to load, and never loading, so again, dropping some guns, giving my companion some of my relics(and such, as in books) and then trying to get on the boat worked. I just did it, and even got my items back after loading in the sewers.

I just wanted to post in the hopes that if someone goes through the same thing as I did, they may find this and fix their problem, and don't do what I did a few years ago, and just uninstall.

FIX: Just give all your items to your companion. I think game is not able to load high amount of items in inventory....
