Pendant jeannette bug?

So I got the pendant from the beach house and I couldn't figure out what to do, I went to the asylum to talk to therese and I can ride the elevator up to floor 2 but it won't open.

I looked online and apparently jeanette was supposed to interrupt me on the asylum floor and that didn't happen

did I not trigger something? or did I run into a game breaking bug here? I really don't want to have to replay ALL of that

thats only the first time you goto the asylum after that you just talk too the barmen once i think thne you can use the elevator freely

I believe this is correct. You should be met by Jeanette in her room after returning with the pendant, not on the first floor.

figured it out, I just reloaded the game a few times, what was happening was the elevator was getting stuck... somehow
