No way to not ♥♥♥♥ of Nines - Intended?
So, in my current playthrough I talked to Nines at the Last Round for the first time. What's bugging me: I can't avoid to ♥♥♥♥ him of. Is this intended or a bug? During my last playthrough some years ago I could at least keep it neutral with him (at least I think so).

After arriving in Downtown I went to LaCroix and Strauss first. Perhaps that's the source of the problem?

Edit: Is it still possible to side with the Anarchs?

You may be using the wrong dialogue options because it's still possible to be neutral/on good terms with Nines and yes, the Anarch ending is still possible. Out of curiosity, what Clan are you playing?

I'm playing a Malkavian. I tried every dialogue option, that didn't end the conversation. It always leads to the same outcome: Nines gets mad. I'm using the german unofficial patch 9.2+ btw.

You are probably telling him the "Camarilla is needed" dialogue options. That gets him mad. He will get mad in the conversation at some points regardless what you say. That's just the way he is. Asking him abiut the prince and the camarilla gets him angry but not at you. Just at the topic.

In the end of the conversation just say something nice to him and that's that.

Regardless of how the conversation went or if he thought you 1 point in a brawl skill, you can still get the anarch ending. Just dont taunt them or piss them off constantly throughout the game.

And Malkavian dialogue doesnt really help with understanding yourself and what you're telling people hehe. ;)

I'm having a blast with the Malk playthrough. Really enjoying it.

Yeah playing a Malkavian is very fun. :)

Still some of their dialogue doesn't mean what you think it mens sometimes hehe, but that's a great representation of their insanity and how dangerous they can be. Especially when they know stuff about others they just met. ;)

I always freak out that VV Toreador chick when i play a Malkavian. :D I won't spoil much if you haven't played it before, but that, for me was a great representation of the Clan a others reaction to them. :)

The Malk. dialogue is confusing at times and I suspect you've selected the wrong dialogue choice as others have said.

Yeah, I talked to VV. The malkavian insight is interesting. You get to know some background, that otherwise isn't accessible.

He always says stuff like you're risking getting a beat down, or them's fightin words newbie, or I got their meeting right here. There's no way for him not to get a little mad at you.

Exactly. At that point, you're still a Camarilla goon to him, so naturally he's a bit antagonistic towards you, but aims to persuade you to change your mind.

My favourite line from his:

"And just so you know, i don't lecture, i don't rap"...
Then he proceeds to lecture and rap. :D
