What does d3d9.dll from Unofficial Patch does? And can I replace it?
I want to install DXVK and I'm not sure if it's safe to replace this file?

Or also a question, can I use ReShade with DXVK and if so, to what can I rename d3d9 to?

DXVK? If you mean, dxvk on Linux, using proton, use this: https://github.com/kevinlekiller/reshade-steam-proton

It will tell you what launch options to put so that it loads the correct .dll file.

Otherwise, just make s backup of the file and try it. As long as you put everything back to where it was you can't really mess much up.

The d3d9.dll fixes some ugly water reflections for normal Windows users, it is not important and can be deleted if you want to use something else. To use it with SweetFX set ReShade target to DX10+.

Nah i'm not on Linux right now, I just love using DXVK with older games nowadays, makes them work better and look cleaner on my gpu.

Ah, ok. Yeah, DXVK is pretty great for older games.
I used to play Saints Row 2 with it on Windows. About the only way that game ran properly, without it, on dx9 it used to get stutters every 2 seconds. A shame they abandoned that game, but at least it's playable with DXVK.

Maybe the water reflection bug is fixed with DXVK too, can you please give feedback?

What's the bug and how should it look?
Proton uses DXVK to run the game, i can also give it a try.

Where should i go look, sewers or somewhere else? I have the 11.4 version of the UP plus, so no fixed dll.

Most of the sewer water section randomly show a square like reflection moving with the player. You will recognize it when you see it.

2 screenshots are with reshade and it's own dll files, and 2 are without, so without the dll file override.
