I know the game fairly well, but it has been years and while I remember (I think) most of the main quests and side quests from the base game I am not so sure about the unofficial patch plus. I will say that the walkthrough that comes with the patch makes sure to have them all in the walkthrough, but I was hoping to playthrough with as little use of that walkthrough as possible, so I just wanted a check list, something I can check off as I go and glace at before I move on to a new hub to make sure I am not missing anything.
Check this out maybe:
https://www.gamebanshee.com/vampirebloodlines/walkthrough.php
It's old, but there's a side bar with the quest lists, from the base game, though, i'm not sure it's complete. There's no UP quests listed, but as wesp5 said, there's not that many of them.
I do remember those quests, iffy on some of the details but I also know the details are in the walkthrough included in the patch extras.
Ya, I like the extra flavor they add to the game,
Maybe a little late for your playthrough, but this is a list of all the quests including the unofficial patch quests.
Actually that will work, it will be easy to make into a check list, save a hard copy on my PC and print one when I need. A check list was all I really wanted, to keep track of what quests I have done, or at least started, and what I have yet to do, or start. Thanks.
Where can I find that walkthrough for the unofficial Patch?
I'd had Vampire the masquerade bloodlines in my library for years without playing it. When I went to try recently, nothing would load like it wasn't getting enough memory to load.
So I looked through all the helpful advice in this forum. Saw about getting the unofficial patch 11.5 with the extra lines to launch through steam properties
add -game unofficial_patch
That started the game but apparently as I had the add at the front of the line it had me playing in a vanilla condition.
I'd played through to after returning from the dame and Fat Larry still hadn't turned up. Reading more threads here I changed the steam properties to
-game Unofficial_Patch That restarted the game but seemed to be the current version.
Is there somewhere that it shows if the patch is loaded and whether it's the vanilla, plus or plus with Extras version?
First, to check to make sure the game is loading with the unofficial patch, when you get to the main menu go to options and then gameplay, on the right side of the gameplay tab it will say Unofficial patch and the version number. However I don't know how to tell whether the basic patch (vanilla with bug fixes) or the plus patch are being used. In order to make sure you are using the Plus patch and have the Patch Extras I would suggest doing a quick reinstall of the unofficial patch and when you get to the Select Components section of the Setup make sure you have both the Plus Patch (Restorations and Tweaks) and Patch Extras (Walkthrough, Shaders, SDK and more) boxes are checked. If you checked the Patch Extras (Walkthrough, Shaders, SDK and more) box in the Select Components during the installation of the Unofficial patch then you can find the Walkthrough if you right click the game in Steam, go to manage then Browse Local Files, in that folder there should be a folder called Patch Extras and the Walkthrough is in that folder. Also, when you switch between a Vanilla (no patch at all), Basic Patch, or Plus Patch (Restoration and Tweaks) you have to start a new game you can't continue and old save.
There is info about whether the patch is installed or not on the gameplay tab, also if you play plus you will have Bloodheal.
Thanks Wesp5, I do have Bloodheal so I guess that tells me I the plus installed.
Will look at gameplay tab.
Oh ya, it has been so long since I have played without the plus patch that I forgot that Bloodheal was not in the base game.
