You'll have to follow a few steps before launching it from the Steam library however (because you've got the Unofficial Patch installed):
- right-click on “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines” in your Steam library
- select Properties
- on the General tab, click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..."
- type in (with no space beforehand):-game Unofficial_Patch
- then click "OK”
Make sure to start a new game if you launched it through the Steam library without these options beforehand. Launching this game from the Steam library without these launch options, launches the unmodded/original game and if you made a playthrough on that version of the game, and are now continuing it on the Unofficial Patch version of the game... prepare for bugs.
I hope this all helped, and you're very welcome.
The Unofficial Patch is great and fixes hundreds of issues the game has. The Plus Patch option also adds more to the game that was cut etc. I would tell anyone that the UPP is a must-have if you intend on playing this broken masterpiece of a game.
