Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

When to do sidequests
I haven't played this game in awhile, but I seem to recall there is something you get later that may make holding on to sidequests worth it... but I can't for the life of me recall what it is. Anybody know?

And if that's the case, is there a list of missable sidequests so that I know which ones to do and when?

It depends on what quests you're talking about in regards to "getting something later." As for missable quests...you need to talk to NPCs. Best way to find sidequests. Also I recommend you get the sidequests done before doing major story quests as some sidequests disappear/become uncompletable if you advance the main story too far.
I found it I think. It's a thing in the quest Italian dinner. It makes you get more exp when you get 3 or more.

Ok, so, I've begun compiling a list of all the sidequests in the game and finding out if they are worth holding on to for later or not based on two things:

Does the quest give you more than 3 EXP at a time

Is it missable?

So far, I've determined that none of the sidequests in Santa Monica are worth not doing immediately, as nothing there gives you more than 2 exp at a time, and several quests are missable/incompletable later.

I'll be going through the Downtown quest list tomorrow I think.

That quest reward comes i think about 70% of the way through the game. I wouldn't save quests, and i always like to min-max. Unless you wanna min-max to the max, just play as normal.
Well, once I compile this list, I can probably come up with a total of how much experience you actually gain from holding on to the sidequests. Then we'll be able to objectively tell if it's worth it or not.

But from what I can tell MOST sidequests aren't worth waiting for, including all of the Santa Monica quests. Most sidequests will only gain you 1-3 exp total, and usually in 2 or 3 steps, so they aren't worth holding on to regardless.

Years of playing RPGs taught me that: never progress a main quest until you finished all side quests. Main quest sometimes can mess up your sidequests, or will force you to backtrack for them. Unless you feel too weak for them.
