I killed the vamp in foxy boxes twice. No sword anywhere. did I look in the wrong place?

Some patches move around the locations of items? Sorry, I don't know what the problem is.

I'm playing steam version with no mods. Sure would have liked that katana.
So where is the second sword in the game? lol

If you find no sword than it got eaten by the textures. Happened to me a lot. Just reload and kill him again. Preferably on a different spot.

I've done all side quest downtown and ready to find the ankaron sarcophagus all with a knife.
My kingdom for a sword.

Use the severed arm, or as a last resort, the fireaxe. Until the relic sword late-game that does aggravated, swords are overated.

I went back and killed the Foxy Boxy guy three times.
The katana is floating in midair .

I did notice that he was much easier to kill with a knife this time so I must be getting better.
In fact I killed him so fast the katana flew into the void. Yea, that's what happened.

ah, the fun of the older games. lol

That wasn't actually your fault. In the original game a lot of enemy weapons just dissappear on death which was fixed in the plus version of the Unofficial Patch! So when people tell you they got a sword from that asian guy, they played the patched version...
Yeah you really, really should be playing this with the unofficial patch. Otherwise weapons disappearing will be the least of your buggy worries.

I think your right.

I dug out my old hard copy, three disks, and instaled the game. Then I ran the 95 plus patch.

Holy cow, what an improvement. I'm about to inter Foxy Boxy. I'll soon know if the katana is there.

No katana. Well there is one but it can't be picked up. When I played back in the day you had to wait till at least mid game to start finding swords. I'm sure it would have been OP at the begining anyway.

I don't know if you can patch the steam version , not a computer guy, but I would say if you can't patch it don't bother playing VTMB.

If it can be patched in steam it's one of the best RPGs ever.

There should be a Shin Gunto there, which is a industrial katana sword, but only if you installed the plus version of the patch and only if you actually played the patched game, see below.

Of course you can patch the Steam version, but if you start it from Steam you need to add -game Unofficial_Patch to the launch options.

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you simply break a few Masquerade Violations at the start of the game and take a sword from a fallen hunter?
