cant get the big doors open in the chinese temple
I am in the temple trying to go kill Ming Chao. But when I get to the big doors with the beam across them I can not push the beam to open the doors. All my guy does is stand there looking around. Even though I am pushing walk with him against the handle. When the push icon shows up. I hit E but do not get any response.

If you are using the UP the beam should already been pulled back. If you are not using it, enter the main menu, open the console, type noclip and move through the door...

only patching I did was when I first down loaded the game I down loaded the patch to get it to play on my computer.

what do you mean by using the UP? Is there something I was supposed to do before going down to the area where the doors are? For some reason this happens when playing as gangrel. I played through as Tremer once and was able to get through.

there is an official patch (OP) v1.2 and the unofficial patch (UP) v9.5b
if you followed the install instructions and installed the game correctly and started it correctly over the shortcut (resp. steam commands) then you should not have to move the bar at all ...

The double doorway that's barricaded closed by the beam is supposed to be manually pushed, you can achieve that by standing at the left hand side of the door (if I remember correctly), and begin to walk to the right. That should trigger it to slide across, continue walking against it for as long as it slides across, once it's fully out of the way it should stop moving

Think of it like a moveable box or object you've encountered in the game, your character can push the object without using the E key command. I had some difficulty with this for a while :steamfacepalm:

yea I have been trying that. when my character gets up against the handle on the bar he just stops walking and stands there looking around.

This is a well known very old bug and the reason why I already pulled the bar back in the Unofficial Patch. If you are not using it, noclip helps!

ok how do I bring up the consol to do noclip once I get to the main menu to type in noclip? and do I need to type anything else afterwards after I go through the doors?

you need to start the game with "-console" (without quotation marks) in steam. right click it in your library and go to properties and click on "launch options" to do so. launch the game and while in game standing in front of the door press ^/° (EU) ~ (US) its the button left of the "1"-button.
the console pops up and you can type in "noclip" the console has autofill so you know if its right. if after closing the console the game does not continue (happens a lot) just reopen the console and type for example "chareditor" and close the character editor with the respective key. fly through the door and repeat the process of toggling noclip.
