Controller support?
Does the game have controller support? I grew up with consoles so I'm much more comfortable playing games with a controller than I am with a keyboard and mouse.

Hahaha... The game is way too old to have controller support. Unheard of in those days actually.

Good news is that it is possible to use a controller using Steam's Big Picture Mode. (If you aren't familiar with how to use it or set up a controller within it, I suggest searching Google.) Other options is using keyboard mappers for your controller, such as JoyToKey[joytokey.net] for example.

You can use Steam input and play it that way. Works great with a Steam Controller, but i think you can map mouse and other stuff to Xbox and Playstation controllers too.
There's probably already a config available, just check it out.

You know you can play any game with a controller on Steam right? Just have to map the right inputs to your controller with Steam Input.

I'm big on controllers to, i can use a keyboard but i tend to laptop game and laptop keyboards sucks.

i'd recommend kimzon flygon's bindings., if you've got an xbox one controller i usually add an extra activator on the left bumper for block for use discipline.

The game is too old for that. Back in the day, there where no Crossovergames. PCgames where PCgames, and we didnt do Controllers. If anything we did Flight Sticks.

do not be so stupid. controllers have been on PC since they were created. they had converters for atari , nintendo , as well as all of the rest. till they were native. as well as many upon many controllers made specifically for the pc....everything you said is so far from the truth its scary. oh btw...2004 is not that old , and there were a handful of games that had native controller support....ever heard of final fantasy 11? its an mmorpg that had native pc ps2 controller support....and it was in 2002...2 years before this was released....and thats just one...maybe next time inform yourself.

Like most people have said in the thread... basically any game that can run on the steam deck, can have "controller support." It just isn't going to be native. So prompts will still be the keyboard bindings in the UI, for example. And raw mouse input from a joystick will take you a few hours to tinker with and get *right* where you want it.

Speaking as someone who has had 42:8 games in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam while playing with a controller against K&M users

Also - the necro is real.
