Just do normal and do brawl then?
You don't need histories to make an unarmed gangrel, histories are just either flavor, reshuffled starting points or "challange modes" for the game.
It always kinda baffled me why gangrels are even in the game, during the events of Bloodlines this clan was officially no longer the part of Camarilla. In other words we have six camarilla clans and one neutral, which seems kinda weird.

In the case of Gangrel I wouldn't say that history is super important, unless you have plan to go pure brawler and ignore animalism, then "Anda Gangrel" seems to be good option.

Did you even play ghe game? Whether you are a gangrel or not, you're forced to work for the Prince, regardless if the clan was a part of the cammarilla or not. And later you can side with the anarchs. That's why they're in the game.
Plus, other clans also had sects outside of camarilla. No clan is fully ever in cammarilla.

How is it even related to my comment? Why put one independent clan next to six Camarilla clan? Considering how gangrel have no extra flavor to them...

Cause not all clans are camarilla clans to begin with? Brujah?
Also, because they can, why would they exclude one of the 7 major clans when it fits in the story so well?
Brujah back then were part of Camarilla, at least officially. This is why it doesn't fit at all, especially it's not even mentioned/used in any meaningful way.

Yeah but we all know how Brujah feel about that. ;)
