I believe that I had vortex working with a manually installed Unofficial Patch at one point. We were just experimenting with it. I think that this took place after those "mod manager download" buttons magically appeared on our mod pages, even for those mods that were not setup for vortex.

Thanks! I have managed to install most of what I want manually, after reading thoroughly and watching some videos. I am happy for the most part with what I have got.
For now, I will stick to the 10.8 unofficial patch, as I don't want to have to re-do and re-install everything. I am green as they come when it comes to modding. But I appreciate your advice
"+Removed Kent's driver license item to restore Fatguy melee attack."
I can't see you replacing an item with an animation, so did you give Fatguy a weapon item or a tentacle or something?
No. But originally I turned the Fatguy melee attack into this item, which made him use it much less than before.
It's never easy being a malk, on any level, it seems :P
Huh, didn't even notice I was using a Release Candidate. Not sure how I managed to do that... Looks like I'm on 10.9 RC4.2, so I guess I'll stick with that.
Anything gamebreaking I need to worry about? I haven't really had any serious problems up to Hollywood.
Thanks for the patch!
Best practice is to not patch during a playthrough, or to start over.
