Tremere - powerful thaumaturgy discipline and dominate
Toreador - celerity (superspeed) and presence (massive debuff to enemies around you)
That's about what you'll need to finish the game, those disciplines and firearms.
There's some generally useful skills in the game to look out for but not really anything you can't live without.
Persuasion, Firearms OR melee, defense, disciplines (especially if they have synergy with something you're using like Auspex giving bonuses to firearms) and sneak.
After that, keep lockpicking and hacking to the minimum required for current level of difficulty of locks. Use bloodbuff to give yourself extra lockpicking or auspex to give yourself extra hacking. Have some spare XP always floating around to put points into those skills when you find something you can't pick/hack.
That's about it. If i tell you anything more i'd have to heavily go into spoiler territory and that's not fun. What i wrote should be enough to get you through the game though.
Good luck!
Also if you use lots of disciplines (or even just mash bloodbuff and bloodheal lol), a little bit of Brawl is good so you can suck on people mid-fight. Plus its a free kill if nobody saves them before you bleed them out
