That may very well be true. However he still seems to guide Jack in his schemes. One would think he would do a hands off approach, but then again, according to vampires, Caine hates Antediluvians whom are pupeteers of the Camarilla.
Also, i mean, the ending is really up to the player. There's chance nothing will happen to the Camarilla except a new Prince, or you can put Kuei Jin in power (and suffer for it).
It's probably one of those "it's a game" story logics...
But there is a canonical ending though, right? I just forget which choice is "canon".
In my opinion this was all a kind of test to him. Like would his childer work together or against each other. Like are they worth saving in Gehenna or not. Dethroning LaCroix was only a side effect that benefited Jack ;)!
I think it was either Anarch or Lone Wolf, but I don't remember good exactly...
That makes sense, yeah. I mean after all, everyone did think there was an Antediluvian in there. Yet they tore each other apart because of it, not work together. Caine was probably not pleased lol.
