unofficial patch plus or vanilla?

So I downloaded the patch with extra features and what not, but have been inadvertently playing on the vanilla download. Is it worth restarting or should I just keep with m current save file?

It's not about whether it's "worth it". You'll simply encounter glitches, sooner or later. The Plus option adds a few story-friendly options too.

I would highly reccomend the following:

1. Install VTMB Unofficial Patch v10.7
2. Install VTMB A.I HD Textures (to the Unofficial_Patch folder)
3. Copy the contents of "Embrace the Darkness MOD" to the VTMB folder itself (not
Unofficial_Patch or Vampire folder)

Shift + F12 to activate the enb
F12 to activate sweetfx
If F12 is your steam screenshots hotkey, change the hotkey or disable steam screenshots.

Lastly, go to the game properties in steam and add "-game Unofficial_Patch" to launch options (no quotes). This will ensure steam launches the modded version of the game.

This gives you the best looking game, fixes the glitches, and gives you the best experience.I have tried every mod under the sun. You can lower or raise your gamma in the video options to enhance more.

You have to add "-game Unofficial_Patch" to the launch options in Steam if that's your problem.

By vanila you mean unofficial patch base bug fix vs plus?

It really depends but I will try making pros or cons from top of my head

Plus patch

Pros
-New content. (Side quest and additional dialogue)
-Can skip ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sewer that no one and I mean no one likes to play. (Biggest pros for me)
-Game look better and I already notice some additional stuff in town for immersion.
-More skills (?) Been a while since I played again (I plan to play tonight)
-Bug fix
-Skip intro cuz you are playing it 69th time.

Cons
-Game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you are not on modern system and since plus patch add some immersion stuff and particles it only makes things worse for potato users
-Some changes are.. well let's say its debatable and you may or may not like them but personally I find them lore friendly and doesn't feel out of place (I don't say that for many mods)

Basic

Pros
-Stay true to original vision cuz you are purist.
-Bug fixes.
-Somewhat runs better on potato due to removed particles. (Just add 15-10 fps more)

Cons
- Game still runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and makes potato user cry as fps goes 60 fps to 45 fps (might as well cap that ♥♥♥♥♥ at 30 fps now)

Honestly performance is only issue with this game and that too is forgiving if you have anything 1050ti with cheap ryzrn cpu. Overall I legit don't see any reason to play vanilla with bug fix only when plus patch gives so much more but I kinda wish UO give us back options that let us decide what we want to add or what we don't (like old version of patch used to)

so.. i tried to install the vtmb ai HD textures mod and the installer won't work it claims it can't find the HD textures or that they're corrupted despite u know.. bein in the unofficial patch folder

and if it's not refusing to see the hd textures folder its not seein the maps folder despite that bein present in the required folder too

The Plus patch doesn't add enough like a true restoration mod I feel. That would be my only gripe. I'd love if the Clan Quest Mod was compatible with the latest UP patch, but sadly the developers need rest after enormous labor.
