If this makes you feel better, a game company (which I forgot but I think it's easy to find) brougth the vtmb rigths and made a recently survey about what gamers like in rpgs in general, so maybe there's gonna be a remaster/remake/another game on the series :D
Paradox Interactive
but Paradox is mostly known for...
strategy games
like Crusader Kings
Hearts of Iron
Stellaris
Even so, it's still a hope, especially after 10 years of fans waiting for something new about this fandom.
Had Activision and etc. didnt mess up the original release
this series could've been on par as Bethseda's works
heck the lore behind this is quite more effective.
and fun
and interesting
I mean this was Vampires before Vampires became... A Gay person's worst nightmare e.g.
"TRUE BLOOD" , "TWILIGHT", "The Vampire Diaries"
i can only dream...
a world that also implement so much player choice consequences
be a vampire hunter?
be a specific vampire?
following Anarch or Camarilla?
and etc.
Yeah...would be a pain to develop, but as i say, i can only dream...
... working with Obsidian which made some fine although mostly old school RPGs recently and for which two of the Troika founders are working right now!
Be careful with your wishes for they may come true
o 3o well that scared me
I'm not certain that Bethesda could provide a game of this caliber with the proper care that it should have to be on par with VTMB.
I think Wesp should make it. I'm not sure anyone has shown more dedication and care to the game than he has, nor even anywhere near the amount.
so.. Naughtydog?
You're over here as well?!? As for Projekt Red, I'll wait to reserve judgment until they release Cyberpunk 2077.
Obsidian would be my preferred choice due to their familiarity with handling dialogue trees, branching paths, variable playstyles and connection to Bloodlines (though I could be wrong on this, I thought they may have someone from that team).
I would NOT like to see Bethesda handle it though. I find their games to be large but lifeless and devoid of character.
