And easy route would be using clan tremere or ventrue, a hard would be a malkavian and speacially nosferatu clan
There are some mods that make the need of blood more time consuming and affecting the skills, like camarilla mode and clan quest
OP - the only difficulty this game offers is building your character. If you fail at it and spread your points too thin, you'll never be able to finish the game. If you build to your clan's strengths, the game is easy. There's little in between.
But this game is not about difficulty. Most of the time you won't be fighting anyone, and when you do, it's mostly against humans and you're a vampire, you can just suck their blood and win that way, it's not that hard.
The game is about the story and your choices, how you approach a mission etc. Even talking to people is different from clan to clan.
Nah using Obfuscate can be tired some, I'm talking from experience, playing head on as malkavian, I didn't understand anything because their dialogue it's a mess, and playing as a Nosferatu you lose a lot of oportunites to do quests, so you also have less XP to work with
I think the biggest factor in difficulty is a bad build. Spread points too thin and you will just struggle late in the game.
The game is fairly easy when you build strongly for a specific style and in tune with the clan design.
The other thing is secondary elements (like firearms) are bad at the beginning of the game but become almost a requirement later on. So a build can be bad at one point but merely the foundation for being competitive later on.
This game is not lacking in difficulty.
It may seem that way because most people have finished it 1000 times already and know the most efficient build, and where to get all items and XP, but first timers won't have it that easy.
In my first blind playthrough I was very focused on using guns but the problem was that I tried to be good at everything so eventually I ended up being good at nothing and so by the time I got to ming I hit a wall in the game that I couldn't progress for over an hour. She was hitting like a tank while I did the damage of a fly.......fun times
Edit: I was a venture and spamming fortitude saved me otherwise I would have not been able to finish the game
It sounds like playing with Final Nights is the way to go, although thankfully it also sounds like vanilla is challenging enough if you're not powergaming and don't know where everything is.
But my dude the game freakin fun either way xP
