Report a translation problem
If I understood correctly, the problem comes from the fact that the game cannot manage so many things, so many elements, in the area concerned. It is therefore necessary to reduce the number of elements that were added during the game in this area (for me the Santa Monica HUB area).
1°) Start by taking a backup where (for my part it is Santa Monica HUB) you could move in the area without immediate crash of the game or when loading the area or even when loading a backup in this area.
2°) Open the game console.
If you don't know how to use tilde after marking in (for Steam) "set launch options": -console
3°) Write in the game console (these are commands to be written independently of each other):
ai_clear_bad_links
remove_entities_by_class auspex_aura (because each time the Auspex skill is used it adds elements that are taken into account in the area (even if the skill is finished).
4°) Now check the number of elements in the area to see if it has decreased sufficiently. Write in the console:
report_entities
In the Santa Monica HUB area it must be below 2000. If you have 2000 or more your game will systematically crash in this area.
Normally you should have less than 2000 and everything should work fine (unless there are other bugs that are not related to this problem).
5°) If you still have 2000 or more elements (for this precise zone I mean) you must continue to remove elements until you reach a number below 2000.
To do this, use the command :
remove_entities_by_class
Then check again with report_entities the total number.
If it is still too high, choose, with great care, from the list of displayed entities, what you want to remove as an element.
Reuse the command: report_entities (followed by what you have chosen).
P.S : I hope I have explained correctly, English is not my natural language.
Good stuff. Helped me around half way through CQM 4.1.
I also have to add that during late game in Clan Quest Mod I had and this error and not a single (or combination of) console command was working. I was experiencing constant crashes to desktop when trying to exit Isaac's Room in Hollywood.
What helped : Telling Yukie to stop following me and go back to my Haven in Downtown. Yes, I had Yukie as my companion because I checked the box "Companion Mod" during CQM installation. No cheats used, never stashed anything in her inventory, didn't embrace her.
