PSA: Beware Skyline Apts. On Most Recent Unofficial Patch
Picking the lock on the safe in apartment 8 caused me to fall through the floor; because I didn't actually make it to the safe, nothing was fixed and I was stuck. Reloading the game then resulted in... Fish... Doors. And walls. And fans.

I was able to reliably recreate the bug over and over. If close enough to initiate picking the lock, though, once succeeding or failing you'll be placed back where you were.

That is the most infamouse Bloodlines bug which is caused by long playing sessions. Quit the game, restart it and load a save outside.

Browse through my VTMB screenshots to see other fun Skyline apartment stuff lol. People don't call the Bugline apartments for nothing! :steammocking:

It's caused by something like a memory leak, the more you play the game in one session the more prominent it gets. Just quit the game and like wesp5 said, load a previous save outside of the Skyline apartments. Never save the game inside just in case, always save in the streets or something.

This bug was in since forever, and it only affects Skyline apartments. People are probably seeing it more now cause they play long hours, and because a lot of people seem to have gotten it lately due to the sequel being announced, so i see more people playing it now.

Gotcha. I had started a new game and played all the way to that point, so I guess that makes sense. Hahaha

Lol, i wish i would have seen that!
Skyline apartment bugs can be fun, and what's great about them is that each time it's different. It always bugs out when you play the game too long, but you never know what you'll run into.

Once i got sofas everywhere:

Other times all the door knobs were replaced with medical safes:

This is fantastic. Please, turn this thread into a Bugline apartments screenshot showcase.

Had a similar problem, but quitting and reloading my downtown hub autosave didn't seem to fix any of it. This also came directly after another bug, where after completing Imalia, all the prostitute bloodpools seem to be set to 1 and it's an instant kill to drink from them(It's not the bug you get from completing the Romero quest during BRAINS!!).
I recently downloaded the latest patch too, and messed a bit with quest stages in the consol to reset VV for missed dialogue.

Hah, that's awesome!

First problem is that Skyline has 6 Apartments, so there is no Apartment #8.

Second problem is that this bug where wrong objects load is present in literally every possible version of this game. Issue as I understood it ages ago is that Skyline has too many unique items to begin with. Perhaps it could be made more stable by someone removing lot of them from it. Instead all mods seem to just replace items with different ones but keep having that building with too many unique items. End result, you get random items loading and fix is to F9 to quicksave, then repeat hitting F12 quickloading until its normal.

And that elevator is so busted I only use it once, to go to Apt#6 first time, after that I use ducts to get around there.

A better fix is to save outside of apartments, quit the game to desktop, then reload.
