Money cheat code help

I could use a little help with this cheat code i have tried using this code but for some reason i can't get it to work i put in the cheat console money 1000 but it does not work can anybody tell me what i am doing wrong

What do you need money for? There are cheats for anything you can buy with money. I ask because, like you, I have trouble with the money commands. So the the best way around it I found was to just give the item I would otherwise buy. You can also give yourself some valuable items, like an elder vitae bag, and sell them at the store.

It's been ages since I played with cheats, but if I remember correctly, all the "money" cheat does is change the size of boobs If you're after cash to buy weapons and clothing armor, then I believe "impulse 101" is what you want... otherwise you will get more than enough money just by playing normally.
