help with modding (camarilla edition/unofficial patch)
so i want to keep the combat changes from the camarilla edition and some of the base world changes (rando blooddolls and new music are nice) but i wanna keep the other stuff from the unofficial patch (quests qol and bugfixes, aswell as not needing to go through the sewers since ive got the hacking skill). is there any way to stack these in 2019? maybe is there a mod that functions similarly? see i adore the combat changes, i adore the extra stress of needing to feed, i adore the weapon balance making guns actually useful, and i adore the fact i (barely) was able to beat romeros quest without needing celerity. i also adore being able to explode people as tremere. past that the unofficial patch just made my life easier and being able to do things like walk up stairs without getting stuck would be nice. i also would prefer the poster quest stay intact. id prefer the books over the college (college is nice, but i never have enough money, and i get venus set up immediately. plus when you have heather you have to get youself stuck somewhere so you dont eat her every time you raise a skill.)
help would be appreeciated my kindred.

thats a pretty tall order...

sooooo for the sake of the challenge...

first off, i would write out a mission statement. what you posted is pretty good.

a mission statement just helps you remember what it is you were trying to do... it may sound silly... but i find them to be very useful...

then i would probably use the unofficial patch as the base files(and with my mods, i almost always do...)

obviously... you will want to back up precious saves and what not before proceeding... because to do the following, you will want to delete the entire contents of the vtmb steam folder several times...

to get the base files for up10, you will need to install a fresh copy of the game. then install the up10 and then uninstall the game from steam. that will leave the base files for the up10 in the steam folder. make a copy of it.

i don't know much about the cam edition, but if its an install wizard, you will need to do the above to get its base files as well.

theres probably a simpler way... but i dont know it.

any way... now you have the guts of the two mods...

so now you need to go back to your mission statement and figure out what it is that you actualy want to transfer over to the up10... and thats the hard part......

sometimes its easy... sometimes its convoluted. for instance, a quest can require a map file(bsp), python and various vdata files. some stuff may only need a single line of python.

you will have to figure out what all needs to be transfered per instance.

if you don't have any modding or vtmb modding experience... you should start with a smaller project with simmilar goals and build up your knowledge base and modding experience.

the optional modding resource files that come with the up10 are invaluable. not perfect though. always ask on a forum if you hit a stumbling block.

If you don't want to do all of the actual modding of the files yourself, you might try the Clan Quest Mod with the the Camarilla Edition Lite option (and maybe the Arsenal option also). I remember the discipline changes from CE lite, but not what the combat changes consist of, or what the deal with the poster quest is.

Or, maybe the Unofficial Patch Plus, with one of Acornco's firearms mods (at https://www.nexusmods.com/vampirebloodlines ), and the "bloodtimer" manually added.

basically the poster quest is broken midway, with a missing item. as for the combat changes, its mainly the discipline reworks and weapon tweaking so bullets are usable.
sme mods i might want added on are something to improve the male malk appearance and more money, cuz im always broke

Clan Quest currently uses the Unofficial Patch 9.2, so that might help you determine whether it has the sewer "short-cut".

Here you can read which of the Camarilla Edition features have been included, and the other optional integrated mods.
