For Tremere, investing in Thaumaturgy is a no brainer... and is pretty friggen awesome if you have the unofficial patch installed. Although your wife may want to boost her mage clan's social skills (i.e. persuasion) with 1 point in Dominate, because with all the blood casting, she's going to want to maintain her blood pool. Lockpicking is also very helpful, as well as selecting at least one style of combat - which I would recommend going ranged as Perception gives it a nice boost.
Here are my stats. I haven't died yet so I didn't bother leveling up
Put a lot in Charisma because I was experimenting with Gimble and the sisters.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm playing with the plus patch.
A Brujah with high Persuasion, that is... unique. :)
As Brujah I max out Celerity and melee, with high unarmed also, and you can just pound your way through the whole game
Yup, agree with all that. I'm going through the side quests now and I have 45 unspent points right now. Honestly Brujah is my new fav. I've yet to find a difficult opponent. Unarmed crowd control is amazing and when a boss fight turns tedious I just take out a mac10 and spam disciplines
