Crash When Entering Blood Bank

So I was running with the most recent unofficial patch and everything was going smooth. Did all the side quests for downtown headed back to SM and every time I try to enter the hospital the game crashes with "bad inline model number 77". I tried googling and there is not much on this. Someone fixed it but uninstalling both game and patch and reinstalling but he had just started a new game. Really really do not want to start over. Is there a way to keep the save files and still try to un and reinstall? I realized awhile ago that I was running from the regular shortcut to start and started playing on the patch short cut as all my saves were there. Thought maybe if I switch back to the orginal it would help but the saves from the patch shortcut were not there....SOMEONE PLEASE HALP!!! I dont want to start over :(

Back up your save games, uninstall the whole game and delete everything left over in the folder (patch, etc.), Then, install the game again, and install the exact same version of the patch you had before, and put your save games back where they were. Do not use a different patch version, nor attempt to run the save games unpatched it will cause problems. Even with the exact same patch version, you're likely to encounter problems when loading that previous save, but at least that way you're minimizing the risk.

That is how you'd do it if you don't want to start over but, and i can't stress this enough *there's no guarantee it will work*, so be prepared to start over if it doesn't, or if the bug/crash persists.

Well I reinstalled everything and replaced the save folder but it doesn't read it...Anything I can do to fix this. All the saves are there when I look in the folder but in game is blank. Am I screwed?

Which save folder? The patch has a separate one.

Yeah that was the issue. Figured it out right after posting. Thank you for the help. It was still bugged but it was my fault. What I get for playing the first half of the game on the original version instead of the patched one :/ Ended up starting over and trying out a different clan and really glad I did. Had a blast with gangrel! Thanks!
