Yes. I don't think there should be a system out there that can't run a 12 year old game without bumpmapping! The reason behind this is turning it off will mess up the water in the new maps.
What quest are you referring to? You will only need to go to the end of the pier much later, during the library quest.

Thank you for answering me. It's the "Night at the Libarary" quest. I killed the goon, I'm at the pier but it still won't open for me. I tried reloading the game and nothing. I tried using noclip, got in but it didn't trigger the event.
Very cool wesp5. So is this a seperate location that apears on the map that you then "drive" to, or has it been incorporated into an existing map (Hollywood)?
