Obfuscate worth upgrading beyond 1 or 2?
Cant see what putting points into it does beyond extending the timer by less than half and an attack bonus when striking out from it.

in the table top version of this it is, however in this game obfuscate is kinda useless. the most point you put into it, the slower it drains pretty much.

Three dots max, more than that is overkill.

An example of how powerful is the invest of three dots in Obfuscate: You can one-shot the blood guardian at the Noir Gallery.

2 to 3 dots in Obsuficate is more then enough. Even then, it's not really that needed most times, unless you're playing a Nosferatu. Even then it's only needed so you can get from an alleyway to the doors you have to enter without triggering a Masquerade violation via being seen. Actually, all the disiplines are kinda unneeded. A good stealth build negates the need for Obsuficate. And I find Unarmed combat to be far superior to using weapons due to it's speed and high chance to knock down your opponants.

Don't get me wrong, the higher tiers of them can be fun. But most of the time you end up not using them because it costs blood, and getting too low on blood risks frenzying at a bad moment. I've lost count of how often I've frenzied as soon as I left a combat area due to spending too much blood during combat.

If you intend to do all quests, I'd suggest at least 2p invis because some quests instantly fail if you're detected. These are quite frustrating. For only 5 points, you can cheese any of these quests by invis walking past the mobs. Unless you literally bump into them, you are not seen. The rest of the ranks aren't necessary for anything.

I've played around with it. At four points you can run while invisible, and at five points you don't lose the buff for bumping into clutter at your feet.

Certain types of enemy vampires ignore it and can see you, but on the late game combat maps that don't have those, it is very powerful. I can run up to one enemy and stun one or two enemies with animalism / dementation while I feed on their friend.

If you want to do a stealth kill you will have to crouch down and wait for the prompt, otherwise you'll attack for 3x damage.

Later on in the game (I wanna say chinatown), obfuscate just plain stop working. even if you have 5 almost every enemy is gonna find you. now, i get why you can't have a discipline that turns you completely invisible, but the way it is its just another kind of broken.

Can you be more specific about that? Because while some endgame supernaturals can see through Obfuscate with Auspex or similar, normal humans shouldn't be able to!
