Turning the camera around the character.

I have patch 9.7 plus final with mods, disciplines, etc disabled.
How does it work?

I also want to know this. I haven't found a way to turn the camera so you can look at your character face on.

However, if you want to look at your character to see the outfit and stuff, you can enter the character overview menu.

The default keys to move the camera are the number pad keys, but you can also define them to your liking in the options menu...

They don't seem to work... do I need to change something in some config files or something?

The bindings are in config.cfg, but if they don't work, maybe the file is write protected or something?

There don't seem to be anything with the Num buttons.
Should I reinstall something?
It's the Plus patch with the extra stuff like disciples and mods disabled.

As long as you installed the plus patch this should be available. But do you actually play it? Like do you use the patch shortcut and do you have the plus info on the gameplay options page?

I suppose I do.
The asian vampire in Santa Monica dropped his weapons, I got to keep Jack's pistol, Trip gave a quest to take some drugs from the clinic, and the occult item was missing from the haunted hotel.
I'm gonna check the gameplay options too just in case.
