It's a simple matter of knowing a bit of Biblical story and adding some vampire mythology into it. Cain kills Abel, God curses Cain, Cain meets Lilith, Cain casts Lilith aside

Huh so there is no actual way to determine (other then blind luck) the order. Okay :D

Or you read the titles of the paintings and figure out "What order makes these sound like a story?"

yeah i guess, i was kinda looking at the seasons of the paintings and maybe it had something to do with that or some sort of clever hint somewhere

The clever hint of the titles.

Of course of course the paintings in it self a fairly self explanatory and i admit i was overthinking the entire thing waaay to much, in a nutshell i was looking for clue's that are not there XD

Knowing the story makes it trivial. Just to state it outright: They have to be destroyed in chronological order, aka, order they supposedly happened.

However, assuming you don't know the story, you can make some simple deductions:

Cain can't spurn Lilith if he hasn't met her, so we know that comes after meeting Lilith.

God cursed Cain for some reason, I suppose you could guess either spurning Lilith or killing Abel.

Stellar deduction sir, quite true.
It's just for starters jeanette kinda teases you with her line stating o the's something about the paintings yadda yadda yadda.
And i just assumed there (used) to be a clue, hint, dosier, computer file somewhere that for example would have the cain story in it, as is with a lot of the missions in the game.
And i played the game way back when it came out (back in the days the loading screens were measured in minutes) and now after all those years i started playing again and now i'm running the 9.7 patch (unoficial) and i was genuine confused if the patch had altered it somehow or if my memories about yesteryear are just plain wrong (what is the case most of the time tbh ;) )

I got the vibe it was the supernatural vibe of the paintings. However I always thought it referred to what happens afterwards. Just like her to forget to mention the aggravated damage dealing blood golem creature. Thanks Jeanette.

I get it. I've been going through the motions with the unofficial patch of Kotor 2. It's exactly the same experience, wondering frequently if my memory's faulty or if the patch changed it.

While it's not exactly hard, you are right it's not nearly got the same 'in your face' solution other puzzles has.
