Flamethrower no longer on ledge during Grunfield's fight in latest unofficial patch?
Despite having good melee and firearm skills, I was having a bit of trouble beating this fight. I heard there was supposed to be a flamethrower up on the ledge where Grunfield initially snipes you but it appears to have been removed, was this intentional?

As far as I remember, I've never seen a flametrower in this level, and the only weapon I get where we figth him is sometimes a katana.

However, this item appears to be a random drop from enemys at this level, from the wiki:

"Acquisition

Available for purchase from Mercurio and Fat Larry.
Available as a drop from enemies in the Society of Leopold monastery.
Available as a drop from enemies in the Hallowbrook Hotel. "

Yes. The flamethrower was found originally in the Hallowbrook hotel and I moved it back there into the new atrium map as a reward for not skipping it! The wiki info is worng...

In 9.5 Plus, which is the only UP I've used, the flamethrower can be found near Bach's starting point ("has been found there" might be more apt). Having just beat the game 3 times within 2 weeks, I can safely say it's been there all 3 times. Where it is in other patches, I can't say. If you have the door at the top of the stairs at your back, go foreward to the left of the stairs and it should be on the ground at the end of the little path. Oddly, not once did I think to get the flamethrower specifically to kill him with it, I only picked it up after killing him :steamfacepalm: . Meh, it's OP anyway.

Obfuscate, Celerity, Potence, Presence, Bloodbuff, Auspex, and Fortitude can all work nicely against Bach. Dodge, Stamina, and armors are also useful. With a high enough Soak he does relatively little damage. Remember, too, that the targets on the ground can prevent you from being shot. Not running straight to him can help as well, or at least that's my observation as I am not familiar with the actual mechanics of it. You could aslo try sniping him.

I found Bach to be ridiculously easy sniping him with the SWAT sniper, with Auspex to boost ranged, and Celerity to see his bullets incoming, but that wasn't completely necessary. He never moves; his AI doesn't say "screw this I need to close the distance!" He just keeps shooting from that ledge while you keep shooting him. By that point in the game I was doing decent damge, both melee and ranged.
