Help with Cheats??

Okay, so, I used the invisibility cheat originally because I unknowingly went to a floor of the hospital that I was apparently not supposed to just waltz into....and there were cops everywhere. I didn't want to risk my humanity or set off the masquerade so I thought I'd be clever and use that invisibility cheat.

But the problem is, now I seem to be permanently "invisible", and it's like I have the highest possible stats for Stealth or something...and it's kind of taken the fun out of the game now. Does anyone know how to turn off cheats so I can continue playing the game like normal?

Do you mean the 'notarget' console command?
If so, just type 'notarget 0' in the console and disable cheats with 'sv_cheats 0'.

in this instance, noclip is more of a necessity than a cheat.

People are allowed to cheat in a game all they want so long as it's not a multiplayer game that ruins other people's experience. I just knew when I'd get into this fandom there'd be the pretentious types running around in the same vein as Witcher fans. Elitist attitudes seem to surround these type of good RPGS unfortunately. People are allowed to play however they see fit in a game they paid for. You said all this but if you don't have the game in native and are using any patches, you're cheating. Getting one stuck out of the floor is cheating too. You can't make passes for some things and not for others, even if it's a game breaking glitch. You're just a hypocrite. Especially since the stealth in this game is broken trash, by even its time's standards, so not everyone wants to spend years of their life dealing with the flawed stealth system. Cry about how people play their own games they paid for all you want, but that's not stopping anyone. Cry a river.

I've used noclip to peek around some maps to see how much was designed. Like to see if the shopping cart I threw into the upper level of a parking garage in Downtown hit a car. Or to see how much detail went into modelling a ?bathroom? that you can just partially see under a damaged door in the tutorial area.

I got stuck in a door in the abandoned Downtown hospital and the game "kindly" killed me on the spot despite my full health.
I have used noclip before to see how much detail was put into areas like the parking garages in Downtown and the area outside Grout's mansion.

In this particular instance he didn't say anything TOO bad. But I will be damned if I didn't see so many straight LOSERS who cannot resist talking trash to people who have decided to use codes to modify a SINGLE PLAYER GAME. Like seriously it isn't even anyone's business what I (or anyone else) choose to do in a single player game. It has nothing to do with anyone else but the player. IF IT WAS a multiplayer game, than that is "cheating" because you are going up against PEOPLE with feelings who can "feel cheated" but a program? no heart, no soul, it doesn't care how you play lol. It is almost as if some people have such big EGO's that they consider themselves the "video game police" or something. Again this guy didn't say anything THAT bad, but still why even bother. Obviously this thread was intended to reach out FOR HELP, not to be chastised. I cannot stand people who go out of their way to try to hurt the feelings of other people. Especially when it has nothing to do with them, didn't affect them, or any other living human. Pathetic.. As you said, there's so many worse than the above person and it's so annoying. They can get REALLY pretentious (take one browse on the Witcher subreddit for all the neckbeards your heart desires.) After being a gamer my whole life, my theory is that some gamers are weird arrogant jerks because a lot of them are socially awkward in real life and have no control over their lives and so the only place they can exercise any amount of power and confidence is the internet and the gaming community. But unlike them I'm the same IRL and online, I'm bold and I'll be glad to put these folks in their place. These "elite g@mur" types are the LAST members of society who should feel any sort of cockiness. They need to humble themselves, because their existence is as lame as it gets. As you said, the one above wasn't that bad, but this applies to those who are way worse.

Find it comedic that you chose to say this after I commented, when I was having a discussion with @Syttorak in my previous message. You could have felt free to interject at a message prior, when two people were told to "grow a pair." This is a forum website and I'm allowed to engage in discussion and reply to messages I receive. My message was actually on topic with the discussion. You're also free to block all of us and ignore the thread as well -- take your own advice. You're right in that people are free to block who they want, so I will do so with you. No hard feelings, I'm just not comfortable being badgered by someone who's acting as if he runs the Steam platform himself. (Not as if a block stops any one of us from commenting in this thread, though, so it doesn't matter does it?
