Some suggestions concerning the new update.
Let me first say I am pleased with this game so far. But, I have been burned MANY times with games in early access that started out great and then took a nosedive for whatever reason. So I will wait to give any kind of review for the time being.

That said, some things concerning the new update I think might be useful.

1. A grid system showing object coverages (i.e. scarecrows, water sprinklers, etc.) For the new scarecrows and seed/sprinkler combos the only way I've been able to see what they cover AFTER I've placed them down is to have enough materials to build a new one. Perhaps using the "`" (the key to the left of the 1 on the keyboard...American keyboards anyway) will light up the coverage areas for the various items with their same color areas. Blue for water, yellow for electricity, and any other current/future items. If there is already a key for this someone please correct me, but looking through the key bindings I saw no such key. Alternatively you might consider when an object that has a coverage area is placed down a numbered row appears horizontally and vertically. I think the coverage area key being toggled would be best though.

2. I know the animal system is new so I understand the basic food items for the current animals. In the future though, I would like to see corn added for cows (many cows in America have corn mixed in with their feed, though it is specifically called feed corn and not eaten by people, unless they're starving I suppose) and also grass. Corn fed cows and grass fed cows are usually more expensive cuts of beef here in the states. Worms and bees would also be appropriate for chickens. Chickens love worms and I know for a fact (having seen it) that chickens love to eat honey bees, especially ones returning to the hive covered in pollen.

3. Concerning the grass and feed-corn I mentioned above. I know there is already grass at the beginning of the game to make thread early on, but perhaps you could make a "tough grass" for the starter area that can still be made into thread, and "tall grass" or just "grass" made for cow feed. Letting a field stay watered but not planted say for two days maybe automatically starts growing grass for cow feed but is not able to be made into thread. Also, a feed corn seed that only cows/pigs/chickens can eat when harvested. Also also, you could make hay a byproduct of harvesting wheat since you already have a mechanism for also getting worms occasionally when harvesting crops.

4, Manure from cows/pigs could also be used as fuel for cooking/furnaces.

I have seen a thread concerning a wishlist for people to voice their desires but perhaps to make things more manageable for the devs you might consider making a thread for each month where the devs ask for people to vote between 1, 2, or 3 things people have been asking for. It would give people something to look forward to and also let us early adopters feel like we're part of the process without swamping the devs with demands and feeling like your under more pressure than necessary so you can continue coding the things you were already planning.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to future content.

Corn is already in cows and horses have wheat apples and corn chickens have wheat worms and sunflower seeds and pigs apples cucumber beetroot carrot cabbage corn tomatoes and pumpkins, seems to me devs have got it about right with food as for furnaces you can make electric ones lots of stuff has been upgraded , remembering its early access . a lot of stuff you mention is in the game or about to be added but it does take time. i also like you have bought a lot of ea games my gripe is not always having keybinding, who plays any game using wasd keys to move ??? , this game they put key binding in from the start. as i am normally left handed loved the idea using cursor keys to move. devs have put a lot of effort into this game already.

I do like the idea of a button to display coverage, but in the meantime here is a trick to determine coverage even if you don't have the resources to build another scarecrow/sprinkler/whatever. If you destroy it (if it's a container like a feeder, empty it first), you get back all of the materials needed to build it - no loss at all. Then simply rebuild it in the same place and you will see the coverage while placing it back down.
