Lucas killing me face to face as I get off the elavator at the rooftop

This is a new one! The funny thing is I had just evaded his laser in the apartment. How on Earth was I supposed to know and prevent this from happening? There must be some sort skill related know-how with evading such a timer.

first when you see the laser you need to hide under bed or in bath until its gont
second you appartment door needs to be closed before you enter elevator

I understand both those mechanics fully, but how would he kill me on the roof top if I left the door to my apartment open? wouldn't he just kill my upon returning to my apartment if I left the door open?

also it's important to note he didn't kill me with his sniper rifle on the rooftop, but it was face to face with his silenced pistol as the doors to elevator opened to the roof top.

Maybe there is some cue he's in the hallway for when he enters and when he leaves? I know there was one in WTTG 2.

Could also be because the door was left open (and because nobody leaves their house wide open if they're going far), he knows you went in the elevator, so he's waiting for you to come back.

I did heard a knock at one point on my last attempt, didn't dare open the door of course and had no peephole (I also remember from WTTG 2 Lucas would shoot through the peephole if you looked through it), but didn't matter anyway, got shot by him likely from a distance, but didn't see or hear a cue.

Still figuring this game out.

I had the same situation like 5 min ago, and can't figure out why, I closed the door to my apartment, there was no sniper laser, and no other threats. I just went up to the elevator go to the rooftop and there was an animation when the elevator door are opening and his just kill me face to face saying "Przesyłam pozdrowienia od Adama". If someone get the answer for that please tag me.

When Lucas aim on roof first you cant see laser at your room. Its rng effect. It isnt counter. NEED BE REPAIR.

It has already happened 3 times that I didn't have the laser in the apartment, we also looked at the recording. The laser is nowhere, I leave the apartment, the laser is nowhere, I go to the roof to throw a signal and slap an insta kill from Lucas. I don't know, maybe Adam fix it already, it can't be finished.

Simple: you left your apartment after the trigger for Lucas to snipe you in your apartment. You left, and it was his turn to spawn to snipe you in your apartment. Easy peasy. Everything is time based. Try being patient.

Yeah. We know. Everything is sadly always a bug when it doesn’t work in a players favour and they’ve done everything “supposedly” right. Maybe the code expired. Maybe forgot to close the door. Maybe again, for the third time (because of RNG) you messed up hiding in your apartment before hiding from Lucas or he spawned after you closed the door or entered the elevator.

Actually i just killed by lucas in elevator in roof and im quite sure i closed the door and just before i closed. Im sure about the laser didnt shown , so if laser is able to spawn after we leave our room its called 'BUG' and its really annoying to be dead just bc of a stupid bug after 1 hour (real time not in game)

In next game, after i dodged the female noir i closed the door and call the elevator. After elevator reach my floor i turned back to my apartment to check lucas if his laser spawned, i opened the door and i spot the laser. Maybe i would have died if i had gone to the roof or it just spawned after i opened the door.

same happened to me. he ended me with USP on the roof and I closed door with no laser. nice.
