Yes everything is Risky, yes we know small businesses and are then immediately broke, and as a potential game is forgotten forever. So that's a try again to save a little here. Good good ..
when u say bad deal do u mean with you
I've played many UIG games and all 'Giant' games and most JoWood games(I'm an especially big fan of JoWood). The ones produced with nothing to do with UIG are far superior. I imagine this is because of funding constraints they tend to rush things, but in rushing them you guys have got a terrible reputation.
Farming Giant seems to be the same, however this one looks to me, to be far better quality than others. like Rockerfeller(god awful) or some of those previous 'Giant' style ones.
As a gamer, and a great fan of the companies you purchased the rights to, I would urge you guys to strongly look at the quality control of the games. Translations are terrible, bugs are immense, after release support/improvement is even non existant(a big one) sometimes, control schemes are terrible(albeit often the same in the Giant games, so forgivable) and the games generally look like someone didn't really take the time to make it fun, rather than a chore.
I know you are a company, I know you have funds and schedules and that you're human beings, and I accept those limitations. But when I see the label 'UIG' on a game that I thought looked fun, and refuse to purchase because of the large number of half baked games i've played before, you've got a problem. Based on this forum I don't think I'm alone in this. And it doesn't make me feel good, I like supporting companies who make this genre of game.
The bottom line is, this carelessness/attitude/way of doing things is hurting YOU. It doesn't hurt me, it doesn't hurt gamers, it hurts YOU and the long term viability of your company.
P.S. I'm not trying to 'slag you off' I love the games you try to do, and I probably will buy FG sometime on good faith and hope to 'work through' the 'UIG issues' because I really enjoy the genre. But the quality of UIG games and the support after the fact is terrible by any standard. Some may be worse, but many many many smaller companies with less funding do better.
I wish you all the best, and hope UIG's name gets a good reputation instead of 'one to avoid' in the future!
Best regards.
How they aquired these games is unsure but what is certain is that they are releaseing old games on steam like they are new when they are infact all unfinished and unpatched games long sense abandoned by their developers.
All games Published by UIG have the same look about their forums. I ask you to check it out. go to every forum of every game published by this company and you will see the same discussions. Help me get them removed from steam before they steal any more money form unsuspecting gamers.
