Take into special consideration gamedata\magic\spells.xml open up with notepad and change the cost of any spell to a negative number and you gain gold whenever you cast a spell.
e.g.
spell name="magic_lightning" cost_money="-2500" icon="magic_lightning" player_spell_gfx="thunderbolt" target_gfx="thunderbolt_posteffect"
This will grant me 2500 gold for each click.
What this will let you do is once you do this access the rpg_params.xml in your .mod folder open it with notepad. This will allow you to edit the stats of your units, from defenses to attack to health to magic resistances. So the only other thing better than infinite gold is super bad ass base units.
For instance doing this I was able to make my level 1 healers start off with 300 damage and over 5,000 health and 200 of all defense in my test run. At level 19 they had about 30,000 hp. Have fun with this one.
