Majesty 2 will not Launch

I'm having a serious issue launchin Majesty 2. For some unknown reason, it will not run at all - it says its running in my Library, but only for a short bit, then nothing. Neither the game or its map editor will launch, and if I try to run it from within the SteamApps folder, I get an Application Error message, with code 0xc000007b. I have tried re-installing it twice now, with no luck whatsoever.

Annoying thing is, I used to be able to run this on my computer, now I can't. Someone, somewhere, must have a solution!!

I think the only solution to your problem is to buy de majesty 2 collection. Or try to check de cache of the files.

I tried to verify the integrity of the game files, but it found no isses. And I don't want to buy up the collection, and find the same thing happening with that game. I'd like to just see if anyone else has had this problem themselves, and if they managed to find a way to resolve it.

Its really low chances that a game like these can give you problems, its really small the game.
Try to download it pirate, from a pirate page.

I gave a couple of suggestions for you to try in another thread, but I will post them here also incase you're not following the other thread, copy incoming!

I'll throw out a few ideas to help brainstorm the issue.
Try disabling steam overlay
Validate the integrity of the local game cache.
Use the controlpanel of your gfx-card to set up different options for that game only (I have forced Vsync turned on myself for this game). Maybe the game is trying to start up in an unsupported resolution?
You could also try and delete the majesty2 folder that is located in "my documents" c:/users/name/mydocuments (note, path is for win7), don't forget to make a backup of "profiles" folder in that.

bought this game on stream because my disk version will not load passed the lil majesty 2 logo that comes up when you first launch it. Now that I bought it on steam it does same thing. what in the hell is the point of selling it on here if it doesnt work? and it works on my other windows 10 pc with the disk and all i had to do was update it. what a gimp

the game works for me. I use Windows 10, are you saying it doesn't work on Windows 11?

So I have a physical copy I found brand new but it won't even open for me on windows 10 it says I need to run as administrator but doesn't give the option to do so. Is it at all possible to play the physical copy on windows 10 or even 11?

I don't know. I haven't had a physical copy in of the game in years, so I can't test that.

I don't know. I haven't had a physical copy in of the game in years, so I can't test that. Monster Kingdom doesn't seem to work anymore, but the base game and other dlc seem to work fine for me via Steam.
